Michael (Martial Arts)

Michael is 18 years old and lives in the community of Guasacate. He started training Judo and Jiu-Jitsu here at FunLimón in December 2013 and is a white belt. He loves the sport; “Practicing martial arts has made me more responsible. Training hard every day has made me accountable for my actions and has helped me gain mental and physical strength. I can’t wait to compete again!”

Michael is training hard with the rest of the FunLimón team in order to compete in the 2014 Marlon Zelaya national tournament in Managua. Michael is also training to earn his yellow belt.

Before joining the team at FunLimón, Michael had never had the opportunity to practice martial arts before.
