Jose Armando (Youth English, Boys' Soccer)

Jose Armando (right) is 12 years old and lives in El Limón 1 with his mother and two sisters. Jose began studying English here at FunLimón in September 2012. Before signing up for language classes at FunLimón, Jose had never had the opportunity to study English. Now, Jose has advanced to English Intermediate Level 5!

Jose Armando’s favorite activity at FunLimón is soccer. Remember that Jose is only 12 years old…and he also happens to be one of the shortest kids in his grade. Regardless, Jose Armando is one of the best soccer players in the town. He usually plays against 17 and 18 year olds in the open league—using his agility and speed to weave around the other adult players like a tiny marble in a pinball machine. Our FunLimón youth sports program creates opportunities for kids like Jose Armando to participate on organized teams, practice with trained coaches and compete on the regional level.
