Jessica Lisseth (University Scholarship, English, Micro-Loan)

Jessica currently lives in Las Salinas with her husband, Jonathan. She works full time as an Administrative Assistant at Rancho Santana.

Over the past 10 years, Jessica has benefitted from several FunLimón programs, especially our university scholarship program, English language classes and micro-loan program.

In December 2003, Jessica graduated at the top of her class from the Las Salinas de Nagualapa secondary school. As a graduating senior, Jessica was eager to begin university studies, but realized that the high tuition and travel costs involved were great obstacles. Because of her high academic standing upon graduation, FunLimón granted Jessica a full scholarship that covered all university tuition, books and travel costs. Jessica began her studies at the Rivas Polytechnic University in 2004 and maintained an 80% GPA or higher every single semester. Jessica graduated in 2009 with a degree in Tourism and Hotel Administration.

In 2010, Jessica simultaneously started English language classes through FunLimón and an internship at Rancho Santana. After just one month of her internship, Jessica was offered a permanent position working in the accounting department. Jessica continues to work for Rancho Santana today.

Beginning in October of 2010, FunLimón granted Jessica a series of 4 loans totaling $1300 to help her build a house of her own. She finished her house in 2012 and lives there now with her husband, Jonathan. Jessica and Jonathan are proud and excited to have a safe, comfortable home of their own.
